دنیای پروگراسیو راک - No#2 Camel -Rajaz

کمل آنقدر محبوب دل موزیک دوستان هست که احتیاج به معرفی نداشته باشد. من هم امروز قصد ندارم واضحات را توضیح دهم. میخواهم از این فرصت استفاده کنم و یادی کنم از یکی از تاثیر گذارترین اتفاقات عمرم، یعنی کشف آلبوم Rajaz گروه Camel.
شاید تعداد گروه های پروگراسیو راکی که بتوان تمامی ترانه هایشان را شاهکار نامید از تعداد انگشتان دست تجاوز نکند و مسلما کمل یکی از آنهاست. این گروه از ابتدای آغاز فعالیتش در سال 1973 تاکنون سیر صعودی را از نظر کیفیت هنری آثار ارائه شده اش طی کرده است.  این در حالیست که کمل در طی چهار دهه فعالیت شاهد تغییراتی بنیادین در ساختارش بوده است. اما از نظر من، حضور قدرتمند نابغه ای به نام Andrew Latimer باعث شده تا کمل همچنان یکی از ارکان اساسی موسیقی پروگراسیو راک باقی بماند.
Latimer را می توان از خلال اشعارش شناخت. آنجا که در ترانه Straight To My Heart مرثیه ای بر نوستالژیه از دست رفته کودکیش میخواند و از خانواده چهارنفره اش صحبت می کند. پدری موزیسن و برادری که با هم هر شب به موسیقی های رادیو لوکزامبورگ گوش می داده اند. از عشقش به موسیقی میگوید و اشاره می کند که شاید از آن زمان خیلی چیزها تغییر کرده باشد ولی نوای آن گیتار قرمز هنوز نفس را در سینه اش حبس می کند.. و آیا می توان عشق به موسیقی را با استعاره ای از این زیباتر بیان کرد؟ من که فکر نمی کنم ..
این ها را گفتم تا یادآوری کرده باشم که حضور لیتیمر 60 ساله چون یک ناخدای با تجربه باعث شده تا کمل از سخترین طوفان ها جان سالم بدر برد.
صبحبت درباره کلیت موسیقی کمل را به زمانی دیگر می سپارم و به اصل داستان می پردازم. یعنی آلبوم Rajaz.
Rajaz آلبومی است که من حدود سه سال با نوایش از خواب برخواسته ام. هر روز صبح راس ساعت هفت، دک کوچکم مثل خروس آوای بیدار باش سر می داد. اما نه با صدای قوقولی ... سال ها،هر روزه من با کمل شروع می شد. یادم هست طوری کارهایم را کش می دادم تا قبل از بیرون رفتم از منزل تمام آلبوم را گوش کرده باشم.. این حکایت خود باعث شد تا Rajaz برای من تنها یک آلبوم موسیقی نباشد. Rajaz شد قطعه ای از جوانیم . تکه ای از پازل زندگیم. خلاصه وقتی کودک درونم می جنبد تا جست و خیز کنان از حصار ذهن بیرون آید، زیر لب ملودی های Rajaz را زمزمه می کند.
اگر  Stationary Traveller را تجربی ترین و Harbour of Tears را غم ناکترین کار کمل بدانیم بدون شک  Rajaz را می باید نوستالژیک ترین آلبوم این گروه دانست.. البته این نظر شخصی من است که از احساسی که آثار کمل در روحم ایجاد می کند، نشات گرفته است. خلاصه اینکه از منظر من  Rajaz یکی از برجسته ترین آثار سبک پروگراسیو راک است که می توان با آن خاطره ساخت.
